D&D Minis: What's missing most?

What about instead of living spells, spell effects like a Bigby's Hand or Spiritual Weapon or Burning Sphere? Or multi-purpose cards that were living but also spell effects?

That is a FANTASTIC idea!!!

Whom do we petition for a booster pack of Spell Effects?
(and what are summoned creatures, but spell effects!)

- the various Bigby hands you mention are a must!
- Flaming sphere also a must
- Black Tentacles
- Creeping Doom
- Gaseous Form / Invisibility (covering different areas to mimic spell effects for a PC)
- Mordekainen's sword, faithful hound
- Prismatic sphere, Otiluke's telekinetic sphere
- Unseen servant (a common figure?)
- the various walls? Fire, Force, Stone, Prismatic, Thorns

I would imagine you couldn't have a phantasmal killer as it is so subjective.

If it's in the core MM, there should be a mini for it, by now. Except for the arrowhawk. I hate that guy.

Quoted for truth.

But add 'tojanida' as one thing we don't need more of, in any way, ever.

I'm not a collector and never will be.

Damion,

I feel your pain, man. If you haven't done so already, Ebay is the way to go for this. Just make sure to include 'Lot Of' or something similar in your search field and you will likely get a return of dozens of combinations of minis to choose from.

Something for different effects on the PC's? LIke the Aela magnetic tiles? Those are pretty handy, but having something by WoTC would be nice too. Maybe different squares you put under your character to indicate various stages like shaken?

Oh, I agree. There's quite a few beasties I won't use often or ever; but if you're supporting the D&D game, they oughta release 'em at least once.

That said, I really like the balance of different settings they've been achieving so far.

Same here. I was a little upset when I heard that Underdark would be pretty FR heavy, but then I realized that Aberrations had 9 Eberron-specific figures (I love you, Bladebearer Hobgoblin!), athough some of them could easily be used pretty generically. And I can always trade away any figures that are just *too* FR-specific for my tastes.

*Town guards (leather armor, polearms)
*farmers with spears/pitchforks (instead of that horrid scyth wielder we have now)
*CALVARY!!! - knights, mounted archers, goblins on wargs, halfings on dogs, etc.
*more female characters in general
*axe-wielding barbarians

In terms of calvary, I remember Mage Knight did a set like that. I wonder if that'd be better as it's own thing or as an add on of sort sort or just random packaging for more calvary.

Hey, I thought we weren't supposed to discuss religion on these boards! :P
I do agree that we need some more cavalry figures, though!

(I sure hope I didn't spell anything wrong in this bit of snark - that seems to be a requirement for any post that points out spelling errors) :)

We need more weaklings lwith CRs from 1/5 to 4. Maybe a whole set like that. I clean out my local RPG store's supply. I just started a low level campaign, and i have like no minis.
