Yeah, I caught that episode too - the D&D bit felt like one of those “we grabbed a random nerd fact and ran with it” questions

Honestly it lines up with how UC sometimes does its pop-culture rounds: they’ll dip into games, comics, anime, etc. and as long as the clue is vaguely fair it’s in play. D&D monsters are pretty recognisable even outside the hobby now (beholders, owlbears, dragons, etc.), so it’s not surprising they show up.
