I crit!
Interesting idea and rather unique licensing at the moment. Is this a good sign?

Get Ready to Adventure Together!

The NERDS will soon enter a most epic pairing,
With Dungeons & Dragons—both fun and daring.
A magical merger of camps that reign clever,
We’re better together, now better than ever!

Look for this sweet partnership in stores starting in September! Each purchase of specially marked NERDS candy unlocks 1 of 7 custom D&D adventures.
For full rules and to redeem your D&D Adventures (starting 9/1!) visit nerdscandy.com/dnd.

“Anything that COULD” have a licensed D&D tie-in, SHOULD have a licensed official D&D tie in.”

~ paraphrase of Gene Simmons

There was the woodburning set (which might actually work as a tie-in now with the rise of geek crafting), flashlights, candy...

My understanding is if you don't use a trademark in a particular setting (cereal etc.), someone else can use it, so TSR was covering all its bases.
