D&D outside the U.S.

Im Chinese living in Beijing, China.

In China, there is no local store, we cant buy anything form store, but only via amazon. Last year (not sure, maybe 2 years ago), we published D&D 4e core rule books in chinese. (3e and 3r core rule books were also published, but never adventures or supplements.)

Because we cant touch any other games, so everyone who have been played RPG must be D&D players, and cause the language barrier there is only a few ppl play WoD, Qin, CoC or WHRP

btw: I know lots of foreigners who living in Beijing are playing RPG in weekend, thats cool enough!

Talaga? I'm thinking of moving to Cebu later this year or early next year. I thought I was going to have to wait for my trips back to Oz to get some gaming in. Maybe I will find an English-speaking group in Cebu?
You will find groups, im sure of that, you can check the local Neutral Grounds store in Cebu, the groups there playing MtG and DDM usually run D&D games.

Chances are you will have to deal with a few people who are not very good in english or who mainly speak tagalog or visaya but if you can put up with that im sure you will find some fun groups.

another Italian, I live in souther Italy (Salerno, in the south of Naples) there are a few shops both in Salerno and Naples, we got most of the manuals translated and to get the original book it's very easy both in the shops and by mail order

Johannesburg, South Africa, calling EN World...
We have a couple of game-ish shops, but they're badly stocked and very expensive. Most people get their game-fixes via online retailers that import them on-demand. This means a 2-3 week turn-around but prices are reasonable (4e PHB with shipping is around $40).
The local scene is pretty fragmented with only a single major annual convention which, IMHO, is pretty embarrassing by international standards. SA's culture places a huge emphasis on outdoor activities and sports, so this is no real surprise. Still, I've been gaming since the 80's and always found people to do it with...
