I voted humans -- they're the most bland race. Blech.

Everyone else at least has interesting relations.

Half elves.

I know that a lot of people started the gnome hate after reading Dragonlance (and who can blame them), but I'm always amazed that anyone can read the first series and not have a hate of Half-Elves equivelent to the loathing they feel for tinker gnomes and kender.

Lets face it - half-elves in Dragonlance suck. Three whole books of Tanis whining about his diluted parentage, being a hero and having to make a choice between two hot babes. We should all have his problems. Whine whine whine. Get off the island, whinger. Every time you speak, you make baby Elrond cry.

Hey hey! Ho ho! Half-orcs have got to go!

They're bland boring bruisers with little cultural distinctions beyond "knows how to hurt things". I appreciate the Eberron flavor of half-orcs, but they're ignored in most other worlds. For good reason.

And gnomes got the shaft.

Demiurge out.
Agree Totally!

I voted halfling. Half-orc and half-elf at least have roleplaying potential (the challenges and internal strife of belonging to two races, yet never truly belonging to either of them), even if their mechanics could use some work. Halflings just plain irritate me. They seem to attract the pranksters and inter-party conflict monkeys in gaming. And the 3.X halflings are the worst. WOTC decided that halflings were too much like hobbits (note that orcs still exist in their original forms), so they homogenized them by making them look like kender, only without the personality traits that make kender *ahem* unique.

Come on, Wizards. You're not fooling anybody.

Elves are the best. DnD would poof out of existance without them. Halflings have got to go, followed by dwarves.

eew he used elf and poof in the same sentence poof elfs gotta DIE DIE DIE

ps
I HATE ELFS

Half-Orcs are still around, therefore they must be voted off.

And apparently there are a fair number of game theory votes in this round, as humans have more votes than dwarves, and the total of human + dwarf is not in the single digits.

Half elf...never played one, never will.

Gimme an extra feat to show my human side, or an ability score mod and I'll play one. Otherwise 'elf lite' doesn't cut it.

I voted off the Half-elves, for much the same reason as everyone else. They are not distinctive enough to be warrented as a core race, and the idea of a whole race of half-anything bothers me (at least the Eberron campaign took steps to fix that by making them pretty much their own race).

I would actually like to keep the half-orcs, though. We need a big bruiser race, and they are preferable than having the super munchkin goliaths. Just rename them "Orclings" or "Mugmugmugs" and say they are their own independant species, not a hybrid. Oh, and give them something to make up for their lame-ola stats.
