Watching Chris Perkins DM curse of Strahd and adapt the adventure he’s written to the group in front of him was a massive eye opener. He listened to his players and adjudicated their actions fairly, while enabling them. But he wasn’t afraid to let bad things happen to them. It was very well DM’d particularly as it was clear that some of the team didn’t know the rules that well to start with. A little nudge every so often but he generally let them learn for themselves. Cool DM.

Sorry to do this to Mercer, but he’s just a bit too pretty for my liking. and it’s all just a bit too polished and a bit too slick. Please don’t lynch me for that opinion.
