This is a very weird thing to grade... I actually think Gygax is a terrible DM (his advice for dealing with troublesome players is horrendous) but without him D&D would not exist (at least, in its form and name).

I agree, it's a difficult list. There are famous DMs who created the hobby and gave us so many fond memories of it over the years, and there are famous DMs who are making the game more accessible and more popular than it ever has been. And all of them had/have their own challenges, their own way of playing, their own writing styles.

I've been wanting to do this Survivor challenge for a good long while now.

The contemporary streamers are probably in a qualitatively different category than Gygax, Arneson, and Greenwood.
