I love her narrative and ability to "yes and" the players, but calls for to many dice rolls for my taste.

Doesn't he say in that very video you should only do this in very rare circumstances?

actually what I don't like is the "smoke and mirrors" style of trad gaming, where the dm has all these secrets and techniques to make the world seem believable. Though I understand the appeal and tbh probably most of the dms on this list play in exactly that way

I think respectful discussion is fine, and should be encouraged. We all know where the line between "pleasant conversation about how different people run their games" and "rude remarks about a real person" lies, and I think we can trust us all to stay clear of it.
