D&D Wargaming *ARMIES OF EVIL*

My army is now counted with actual numbers (had to give up 2 bbns to accommodate for UK's mistake in counting the CR of a half-fiend). And I already know what will take my army funds:

40 Myrlund's Spoons (for a grand total of 216,000gp)
Champions' Feast (25920gp, casts Heroes' Feast once per day at caster level 12)
Amulet of Natural Armor +2 8,000gp (for my captain)

Total: 249,920gp.

The only think I need to do now, is to stat out my captain, foot soldiers, and the ethereal marauder rogues.

There is an item in the Miniature's Handbook, Field Rations Box which produces enough food and water each day to feed 15 humans or 5 horses, for 2,000 gp each. So to feed 165 humans with these you would need 11 boxes that would cost a total of 22,000 gp.

Re,

Fieari has stated that supplies, wagons, pack animals, etc don't need to be paid for out of our CR or 250k.

Or are you planning on burying them under an avalanche of oatmeal?

Shortening your supply lines allows you longer endurance in the field, and reduces your vulnerability to attacks on your supply lines certainly, wagon trains feeding Good forces will make tasty targets, of course, Undead don't eat, and we can always resupply via the Mirror, still, it is good to cover your bases.

Really... with an item like that, what's the point of Myrlund's Spoon? Well, I won't complain if that is available. Fieari, is that item acceptable?

Why so much food when you can just eat the dead? (and of course a few peasants).

I think you're better off with the Rations Boxes. Reliance on the resources of the enemies or on long and vulnerable supply lines would weaken your army. The enemy won't just stand idly by while you eat them, after all. If they are desperate enough they will burn everything in your path leaving only a deserted wasteland for you to starve to death in. Even if you can be resupplied with the mirror and teleportation that would be an inefficient use of those resources. Get the Boxes, you won't regret it.

If your entire army is extraplanar, they likely don't need to eat on a regular basis anyway.

I don't think there are too many farms in the abyss...

Creatures of the outsider type don't need to eat, creatures of Humanoid and Magical Beast do. Guess whose main body consists of the two creature types.
