[D&D] Which is weaker? Dragon disciple or pure barbarian?

Timely Drought

First Post
So yeah... I'm trying to figure out which makes the better antagonist. The Pure barbarian or the barbarian 9 sorcerer 1 dragon disciple 10.

Although they both look really weak to be truthful. I'm probably going to go for flavor and do dragon disciple. But i was wondering if anyone managed to get use out of the barbarian's damage reduction. I'm assuming that a group of PCs would just tear through it at equal level or only slightly lower.

But I can't figure out what to do with dragon disciple. Put him in heavy armor? Keep him mobile in light armor? Can he equip armor with his wings!?

Dragon Disciple is easy to 'break', two levels of bard (so you can cast Cure Light and Inspirational Boost), then the rest in a combat class. Take advantage of the ludicrous strength boosts that DD provides and power attack away!
