Had a great session last night, we were 1 person down so our DM put together a small mini adventure which we didn't complete but was very cool and well put together.
I played a deviation to my main, a Minotaur Barb and instead a Minotaur (well I do love the mini) Swordmage.
Had a lot of fun and a good 4-5 hours later the Session was over.
A day later, I am suffering Withdrawls - I want to play again but it is only a week away.
It isnt like I can't find a way to create or join a group that runs on another weekday, I just don't have time for it... it is more than I want the feeling back and want time to flow quicker so it is next week tomorrow.
Accepting that without joining another group, I am unsure how to address my fix. I have started creating my own Campaign world, building it from the ground up (started a little bit of Cartography already) and that is a bit fun but is quite labor intensive.
I also have gotten into the habit of reading corebooks before bed, trying to get ideas for Monster or Custom Class builds to build into a future Campaign and whilst that seems to hit the spot, a little... I still feel like I miss the game.
Someone suggested that I try and get my wife (who is not a D&D fan) into playing one of the D&D board games as it is easy for non-D&D people to play and that may resolve some of my gaming adiction woes.
Enough about me - do any of you feel needy for your D&D fix and what do you do to try and dull the yearning?
