[D&D4E] Path of Enlightenment [OOC]

Oy, voda, I had an idea that I wanted to propose to you. Since:
1.You introduced a few feats that represent martial arts skills and
2.You restricted race choice to human becaue of the setting.

I was thiking that it might be fun to introduce feats, flavored as martial arts styles, that mimic race features or feats. The limit would be that you can only take these feats in a "style chain" (so only from one race). It'd help differentiate the all-human group, too, without interefering with the mental image.

For example: "Style of the mountain warrior" could give access to the dwarves' second wind as a minor action; "Style of the wild wind" the elven reroll feature; "Style of the inner dragon" could grant access to the dragonborns' breath, etc.
Granted, there might be some problem in balance, but I think it'd be both fun mechanically and flavorful if done right. What do you think about it?

Or (or perhaps additional) we could train in this chi realigning path and simply adopt the other races benefits for the human ones...

(Loosing the +2 ability, one skill and one feat. Perhaps also access to human only feats...)

I looked at the 'new' artificer rules. There is a decrepency between Ziang's fluff and the rules :(. Will need to make some changes after the fight, if the game is not completed then.

I thought of making at least one continuation of Path of Enlightenment. Where are those new rules about the artificer? I'll like to see them, perhaps making a few thingyies for it to mach with the flavour.

The flavor in the Eberron book for its powers seem poorly magical. And I went at Ziang with 'Enlightened Alchemy'. Hard to explain the powers as alchemical effects.

And can't you re-flavour them? I mean, something like this:
This a flavoured druid power, for my insect shape druid.
[sblock=Sticky Goo][Grasping Claws: You rend and tear your foe with your claws, leaving it unable to escape your next assault.]
You spray your enemy with an acid substance, leaving behind a sticky yellow goo that stops your enemy from escaping.
Beast Form, Implement, Primal
Standard Action Melee touch
Target: One creature
Attack: Wisdom vs. Reflex
Hit: 1d8 + Wisdom modifier damage, and the target is
slowed until the end of your next turn.
Level 21: 2d8 + Wisdom modifier damage.
Special: This power can be used as a melee basic attack.[/sblock]

I think it is more difficult with leader powers... see Magic Weapon at-will:

Melee or ranged attack using int and helps other to hit... maybe if you declare you inhale magic mist before striking and the others are also affected???

Well it's been more than a year since we started this, I'll like to say we hadn't any cassuality, but we did, although most of the original players are still here, and the replacements have done a great job!
I want to congratulate you all and ask you to forgieve my ausesnces of posting, which have been far too many to my own taste.
If I bored you with this game, know how to bare with me lol.

On the game's warping: This is the end of the first chapter of the campaign, and I'm planning of starting the sequele probably next month depending on the following question: which of you want to stick with this and who doesn't?
This chapter will finish with the heroes departing to the continent, and the beggining of the next chaoter will involve the learning of techniques from MAster Jien, and probably the unlocking of the evil Jien's techniques. That was what the rolls were for. I'll let the details for thye next game, is such thing comes to happen.

Well, mostly that. Keep roleplaying!

PS: WD the changes look quite cool!

I think I'm going to bow out. I'm somewhat overcommitted these days, and this character, and the game, haven't really clicked for me. Someone else will have more fun with this than I'm having.

The game has been great fun and I am glad to have been along from the beginning. Despite being ridiculously busy, I can't resist sticking around for the next chapter if you'll have me.
