D&DN and Epic Fantasy ((Apologies, Long))

It sounds like Hussar wants a Fifth Edition version of Birthright. With a little more fantasy thrown in than just a poor recreation of a mediaeval Earth.

Heh. My idea would actually be closer to the Immortals rules than Birthright. But, that's certainly the right direction. Grander scales.

I like the idea but I don't think that it should be part of the epic tier of play, I think that it should be part of the paragon tier...

IMO, Paragon (or whatever mid level is going to be called) is where the transition would be. The character gain title and local scale power. Sure, they're not the emperor, but, they're working their way up the food chain.

I just hope this sort of thing is a rules mod in the DMG, or a secondary book. I haven't had a campaign go down this road since high school.

Some heroes become rulers and sages. Some don't.
