2. Xanathar's options
3. SCAG options
4. Options published since Tasha's (the Ravenloft Subclasses)
5. PHB 2014 leftover options

The most coherent explanation for what would have all of these exact options...is the next Xanathar's/Tasha's compilation.

Very easy to cherry pick from a long list to make a few themes.

As a d&d loving metalhead I'm so glad they're highlighting Eddie but I got a say he's a weird pick for a promotional item for the fifth season

I don't think they realized he'd be a breakout star like he was.

Also, Netflix is terrible at capitalizing on the RPG elements. Their official store has all sorts of stuff, but has zero gaming material. This is their last chance to do something as obvious as black dice with red lettering in the Stranger Things font.

You can get Wednesday and One Piece d6s, but no dice of any sort for Stranger Things, much less a full set of polyhedrals or a dice bag. And there are so many good possibilities for a dice tower.

You can get two different Stranger Things pickle ball rackets, but no polyhedrals. Unreal.

I wasn't expecting this at all, but I've never been any good at guessing future releases. Isn't there some overlap with the Starter Set being released in the previous month?

It looks like it's even using the same red dice from the Borderlands boxed set.
