D1: Ashin's Commission (El Jefe judging)

*Zaeryl will fire another Crystal Shard, while pointing out:*

"This has not gone well for us. We may perhaps wish to give up for today and return tomorrow, lest we risk a lucky blow ending a weak mortal's life. If so, simply push it back into the wall with positive energy to give us time to regroup and make our way out."

(OOC: Still +2 to hit total for 2d6 damage)

*Well, Michael is one of your two so-called 'people of magic'. As for Almayce, his conjured weapon should be useful. We can continue to assault it if you wish. It is likely that we will destroy it, but we cannot vouch for the safety of the lifeforce housed in all the mortal shells around us.*

Almayce converts Sound Burst to Cure Moderate Wounds spell, and holds the charge. Next round he'll ready an action to touch the Shadow, should it be in sight, or just moves and touches it.

If he can see the Shadow now, he'll cast the spell and move to touch it if there's room near the pit.

"Get Michael out of the pit and let's just kill this thing.", Almayce says, sounding frustrated. "It's annoying me."

OOC: CMW 2d8+3 damage to undead, Will DC 15 for half, Melee Touch Attack +0. Should be no miss change. Cast+Move+Touch is possible in a round. Sorry for absence again...

--- Round 10 ---

Eternity prepares to manifest. She draws deeply, expecting to expend the last of psychic energy. Instead, power flood out, momentarily startling her. The ray of fire flares, lighting up the dark passages like a sunrod, before striking the shadow.

With a heave, Hulgyr and Ironwolf haul Michael out of the pit and back up into the passage.

The shadow moves upwards with the cleric of Sela, wrapped around the cleric's real shadow like some sort of foul twin sibling. Its arms remain buried in the cleric's torso. Its cold hands continue to suck the heat from his heart {3 str damage}.

Michael staggers slightly, and has to be steadied by his companions. The cleric of Sela looks almost shrunken, too small for his armour.

Almayce channels positive energy, drawing in into his hands. Seeing the shadow wrapped around Michael, Almayce leaps forwards, pushing between Hulgyr and Ironwolf, his hands groping for the shadow. Unfortunately the cleric of Gliran is unable to make contact with the shadow.

Zaeryl sends another razor sharp shard of crystal spinning towards the shadow. But forced to try and avoid hitting his companions, Zaeryl aims too high and the shard disintegrates against the ceiling.

- ooc -
E13: Eternity is now 2nd level. 2 PP spent. You didn't say so I rolled a d6 to determine how may extra pp were used.
RA: The shadow has good cover in the form of Ironwolf, Hulgyr who are between Zaeryl and the target, and to some extent, Michael himself, with whom the shadow is engaged. 2 PP spent. Has Force Shield until R24.
Paltin: Ironwolf has Force Shield until R34.
ajanders: 3 str damage, str now 4.

(OOC: Shouldn't we have gotten a few swipes from the Spiritual Weapon in the past few rounds?)

"We repeat. If you want to ensure that the mortal lives, you will turn the Shadow away and we will return to destroy it tomorrow. It cannot heal between then and now unless there is also a necromancer down here, whereas we can."

If Michael seems to be able to move normally (i.e. his strength hasn't dropped so low he can't move due to encumbrance) Ironwof will let go of him once he's on his feat and out of the pit. Otherwise, he'll continue to help Michael to whatever extent the cleric allows.

"Seems like I'm just in the way here, so I'll do as Zaryl suggests."

Ironwolf, using the total defence action, begins heading back to the room that seemed warded with positive energy.
