D1: Ashin's Commission (El Jefe judging)

Michael rattles to the ground, twitching faintly.
"Shadow.....on.....leg..."
More twitching.

"help..."

(OOC: At this point I think Michael is basically just a big armor-wearing puppet...remember Roy in Order of the Stick? He's posable and can't stand. At least until the shadow kills him and he rises from the dead in a bad hungry way.)

In that case, Ironwolf will definitely be dragging Michael with him -- possibly literally. Ironwolf should be able to support the majority of Michael's weight -- though 200 lbs of cleric and 66 lbs of equipment is a bit too much for Ironwolf to actually carry. If Michael can be assisted to stand, Ironwolf helps him walk. Otherwise, if Michael can't contribute at all, the psychic warrior will drag him.

I expect Michael can at least carry his own body weight, which is most of the problem.

"You know..." Ironwolf suggests as he pulls the Cleric away from the battle "I'm sure your lady would forgive you if, under the circumstances, you came back for your rock collection later."

Since Michael's basically being grappled by a shadow, he ignores the rock collection crack and waves enthusiastically at the at the undead glommed onto his leg, encouraging people to turn, stab, or shoot the thing heedless of possible damage to himself.
You promised I was going to have my guts ripped out and devoured by a three-headed demon prince.
Under the circumstances, it seems like an absurd thing to be petulant about to Sela.

(Michael is absurdly overloaded, rock collection or not. He can move five feet a round as a full round action. I suppose, DM permitting, he might also be able to fall down and cast a spell or turn undead while prone. Next time, I'm playing an archer. I'd forgotten how much I hated melee.)

Eternity overwhelmed by the power welling up inside unleashes as much of it as she can in a bright lance of flame.

(energy ray - fire again, expending focus to over power. At 3pp thats 3d6+3 dmg.)

(OOC: Don't worry--shadows can't grapple, being incorporeal, so it is admittedly needing to attack you each round. Unfortunately, your touch AC is pretty awful, especially now :()

--- Round 11 ---

Eternity draws deeply on her new found power and unleashes another ray of fire. It arcs across the open space of the junction and strikes the shadow squarely in the back. It howls silently, writhing and twisting as it lose form and substance, dissolving, reforming momentarily before imploding out of existance. A gust of cold air expands out from the junction. Then there is silence.

Almayce glances around and seeing nothing, drops his hands and steps back, giving Hulgyr and Ironwolf room to help Michael.

The passages are quiet and still except for the shadows of the company cast by Ironwolf's necklace, dancing drunkenly on the rough stone walls.

Hulgyr and Ironwolf begin hustling Michael towards the stairs. The Cleric of Sela can barely support his own body weight, let alone that of his armour and gear, and the two are forced to virtually carry him, one at each shoulder.

Almayce and Zaeryl have the option of backing up, or pressing against the wall to let Ironwolf, Hulgyr and Michael pass. There isn't much room in the passage.

Was waiting for Xael. I was going to ghost him, but turns out it wasn't really necessary. Nice shot there Erekose.

RA: Almayce got several attacks with the spiritual weapon spell. One in round 7, and one in round 8. Both missed. In round 9, Almayce couldn't see the shadow, so couldn't attack.

"Nice shot," Zaeryl nods to Eternity, "Still, that was perhaps a bit close for the mortal's comfort."

(OOC: Oops--never had it come up that the weapon was still in line of effect and not line of sight and didn't see that caveat about it coming back!

This is where we wish we had a Wizard--Magic Missile fries incorporeal opponents in 2 rounds at worst)
