ao'Thuir picks up the paper and looks at it more closely. If there is nothing more he'll continue with the bashing of the chest.

Richard, having gently pulled the unconscious Rinya to saftey - as Far from the secret room as possible, even if that takes longer! - hears the 'greetings' and groans.
"Guys! If she left all that mess to 'welcome strangers', don't you think it would be smart to let the rogues do a trap-check on that Before we start bashing?"
OOC: Is it just me or isn't it scary that one of the warriors is the voice of caution?

"You might be right.... but our trap finders are almost dead and convincing ao'Thuir not doing what he has in his head is not an easy thing..." replies Ridik to Richard

Lucien Rayes, half-elf bystander

Lucien stands off to the side, staying out of the rest of the party's way but keeping alert in case any more undead abominations appear.

The Third Floor

Unfolded, the note reveals the rest of the message, written in the same spidery hand.

[BQ]You have done well to get so far, you are either very clever, or very tough. But even if you have got this far unscathed, you will find getting to what is in the chest perilous. Of course, you will ignore this warning, imagining great treasures are hidden within. But I have done my bit and given you my caution.

Make peace with your gods before proceeding.

M.[/BQ]

"Um, yeah, not so sure I want to open this right now." says ao'Thuir as he retreats to the hallway with the others. He shows the note to whom ever wants to look.

Ridik takes the note and read it aloud. "Ah! That's the best defence I've seen. After having put so many things in our way, we are stopped by a simple paper. You know, that's surprise me. Grandma is pretty clever. I wouldn,t have thought of that. Pretending to have put a trap. I would bet that there is just no trap here... but you know, I thikn you are right. I mean, if she is serious, it could turn bad. I don't mind to wait, it's just mean that Ignatious will have to wait a bit more for his manor. I suppose he won't mind. You are not in such a hurry, no?" asks Ridik to Ignatious "I'll have to note that. I think it is even better than a magical trap I have seen that suggest the treasure hunter that the chest is empty and so he just pass in front of it without noticing it. That book on magical traps was very interesting, just too bad they were giving only general ideas and description on them and wasn't giving any detail, or I could had learn how to create some... oops, I am talking too much again, right?"

Richard breathes a sigh of relief and listens carefully.
OOC: Where is Ignatious, did he come up to the second or third floor?

Hedron, Half Orc Warrior

ooc: Due to circumstances largely beyond my control, it is going to be necessary for me to leave the party, and the game. I do appreciate the story that doghead and the rest of you have been crafting.

Hedron milled around in the corner, listening to the others talk about delaying opening the box.

"I agree, it may be just paper, but I am not prepared to risk it. In fact" he continued, rubbing the still burnt portions of his skin, "I am not prepared to go on at all."
