D20 Apocalypse Designers - Q&A Here

Darren,
There is only one Advance class presented per campaign. Were there others that where cut from the book and if so what were they?

I did two for Atomic sunrise: the road warrior and the lawbringer. Obviously the road warrior was deemed to be pretty universal, so that was moved into character options chapter.

Otherwise, there was one by someone else that got cut, but I don't remember who designed it or what it was. I do know that they did a replacement class that did end up in the book, but like I said, my recollection on that is pretty fuzzy.

About the Barter/Scavenge system... something was nagging the back of my mind.

I don't own the Star Wars D20 anything but I have played KotOR I and II (which I know uses a tight derivitive of SWD20) and there appears to be some strong similarities between what KotOR has and the D20PA. Am I seeing something that is a coincidence or does D20PA owe a little to D20SW on this?

While I have KOTOR1 and KOTOR2, I've spent all of maybe five hours playing KOTOR2, and that was well after I did my work on D20 Apoc. Heck, I haven't even tried the barter system in that game. If there are similarities, then they are purely coincidental.

Oh Lord...that one word, "lawbringer," makes me want to play a servant of Menoth bringing the True Law into the wastes of the far-future Iron Kingdoms...

This thread has pretty much sold me on d20: Apocalypse.

What can u tell me about the lobster aliens & why were lobsters chosen? (not 'doggen' them, just curious :) )

Any other critters in the book?

That would totally be an Owen K. C. Stephens question. He's welcome to chime in if he's lurking around. :D

Any other critters in the book?

There are a total of 10 new creatures in the book, not counting the ones that are setting specific. Again, I think this is a section Owen worked on.

OK, I heard I could do Kamandi with Gamma World but that was a HUGE disappointment so I was wondering can I do Kamandi with D20 Post Apok? I really, REALLY want to run a Kamandi game but nothing has been very helpful for that kind of thing...

To those who have GW and PA, which is better?

Kamandi - Last boy on Earth?

Sure you could. You may need to figure out how to do the races that are unique to the world. I'm thinking that you could start with the Moreau's and go from there. Just use the various rules modules in the book, combine it with your source material, and you're good to go.

Uh, neither. The advantage of d20AP is the scavenging rules and craft rules. Also it is about 200 dollars cheaper. GW, OTOH, has more artifacts, mutations and creatures, rules for building communities, much more suggestions on how to make PA settings (from humor to horror), and it has cryptic alliances. Neither have good rules for mutant animal PCs.

You really can't compare a 96 page book to 6 books with about 900 pages.
