D20 Cities books

Nightfall, I'll take a look at Shelzar when it comes out. I'm getting much more selective about what I buy, though. And I'm sorry to say that I just can't imagine ever wanting to run a Scarred Lands campaign. I've got all of the hardbacks, and several of the other books. I use them sometimes for inspiration, especially RR1, and I've used several monsters out of CC2. But the setting just doesn't grab me, so I'm hesitant to purchase too much more stuff for it.

I'm more of a Kalamar girl, myself. I buy all of the stuff they come out with, sight unseen.

Buttercup, figured you say that but that's cool. I just offering cause I really am stoked about this book. But what ever floats your boat.

I'm wondering if anyone had a list of all d20 products that contained information about cities that were not campaign specific, like the upcoming Bard's Gate suppliment from necromancer games?
I'd like as many as everyone can think of, if its not too much trouble :)

Cities: Born of Stone, written by the estemed Mr. Lizard, should be in stores sometime in May. It's completely generic and can be used in just about any campaign. (From "traditional" D&D to Pulp to Sci-Fi.)

Streets of Silver my copy is back ordered.

I am still reading through this (hey, it is 300 pages long), but I like this book so much it is center of my upcoming homebrew.

Bluffside is also very well done- and is going to be used as well.

I like Freeport a lot, but already used it for my current group.

Is anyone going to do a Lankhmar d20?
I'm S L O W L Y working on a conversion.

1.5 jobs, wife, kids, etc.....it's going to be a while. I half hope somebody beats me to the punch.

Mongoose has their Cities of Fantasy series. Four books out now -- try their website.

Each of them has a schtick (Stonebridge is all gnomes), but they're pretty generic and that bit is easy enough to change.

A couple other publishers have town products (like CMG's Locus-Jalston and Focus-Jalston).

Sagan,

Please post a review when you're done with SoS (if you have time). Because of the detail and volume (notice the smaller font in some of the DM stuff?) it's taking longer for us to see reviews than usual.

The original poster, Dungar, (remember Dungar? It's a thread started by Dungar) asked for non-campaign specific city books. Frankly I think you'll find those are a rarity, and from what I ve seen the most popular ones (and the best ones) can be adapted to any setting. There aren't too many publishers creating something with the detail of something like the old Lankhmar book or Streets of Silver, for use as a generic stand alone. This is because a city setting book of that kind of detail is not the first product that publisher's usually put out. You have to already be dedicated to D20publishing before you undertake that kind of project, IMO.

Considering that they both have a nautical/pirate theme, how well would Streets of Silver and Freeport work together?
