d20 G.I. Joe

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Would this be feasible for Hasbro, considering that they wouldn't have to pay a rights fee since they already own the rights to G.I. Joe?

I'm not sure if making it its own line like Star Wars or CoC would be worth it. However, it would be cool if they could address it in d20 Modern or one of the later books for d20 Modern.

I guess you simply want an original RPG of its own from HazeBros. As for rights fee, I doubt it will be free (Hasbro Toys and Wizards are still two separate companies despite being under the umbrella of Hasbro Inc Executives), but it would be less.

GIjOE

One thing to keep in mind. Due to some short-sightedness, Hasbro lost the rights to some of the old GIjOE characters, including the Baroness. :( They even lost the rights to the "Adventure Team" and recently bought it back.

So, if Hasbro did do an official GIjOE game, it would be based on the newer Joe VS Cobra figures that started hitting toy stores a little after X-mas.

Go Joe!

Why do we have another thread on GI JOE?

Because GI Joe is freaking awesome. I'm betting a large number of people on this board grew up on GI Joe. I watched it on TV, I played with the toys, I read the comics, and I pretended to be Snakeyes in my spare time. When it was time to eat I did so on my GI Joe plate, and when it was time to go to bed I took off my GI Joe Underoos, put on my GI Joe pajamas, and curled up on my GI Joe sheets. Hellz yes I want a GI Joe game.

I hear ya, Ranger REG. G.I. Joe certainly is no Major Matt Mason. Now, there's an action figure worthy of the d20 treatment!

A buddy of mine is named Matt Mason. His parents deny naming him after the action figure, but he doesn't believe them.

Anyone who says they want to play d20 G.I.Joe and doesn't at least pick up and flip through the Spycraft Soldier / Wheelman Guide is missing out. Big Time. It's not just your friends that grew up on this stuff. It's the writers of RPG products too :)...
