d20 Mass Combat! Thanks Skip and Monte!!

Thank you Skip and Monte for addressing the most glaring deficiency in the d20 rules. Mass Combat!

Finally, rules to lead my armies across the battlefied, fully compatible with D&D 3E and written by the great Sage himself!

Now all I need are rules for running a kingdom(s).... ;)

By the way, these aren't going to be mini's based rules are they? I need rules to lead armies of thousands and I want to be able to play it all out on paper with die rolls.

(Hey, Eden, still waiting for that Book of War, guys!!)

Well, there are Mass Combat rules out there. I've never used them so I really don't know if they are good. But it is good to see these two doing this.

3 or four pages back in the House Rules forum their is a post Titled Battlefield D20 that has very decent battle rules as a free PDF download

I think a very disappointing assumption we can make from this is that WotC doesn't have any plans to put out a mass combat system this year. Otherwise, why would Skip and Monte create a product that would directly compete with a WotC product?

It's on the first page right now, actually.

Mass Combat...

I hope it does compete with a WOTC product... It would mean that WOTC had better have all their ducks in a row because Monte and Skip WILL have a great producct out there. Competition is good.

But I do have a gripe about their (Skip & Monte) mass system already.... Get it out by Christmas..... I cannot wait another year for this... Work overtime... work double time.. just get the darn thing out!!!!:D

Umm, because they don't work there anymore?

I think Matt Colville (sp) a member on these boards is doing the eden supplement but also had to get several other products out the door.

I am really looking forward to this. I hope we can use the rules to streamline mass combat in Birthright.
