Talien, maybe its just this computer I'm on (I sure hope so), but it seems like an older version of ED:SW! is up on your site now...most of the v1.4 revisions don't seem to be there...let alone the v1.5 ones. Did something happen, or should I try a different PC?

Nope, I'm just an idiot.

I uploaded an old copy by accident. Just uploaded the new copy and tested it. 1.5 should be there now.

Sorry about that guys. That's what I get for rushing things. :)

Talien, I finally got a chance to look at the new version of the file. Groovy.

A few quick things I wanted to mention - first, the Chainsaw Impale feat now only works on undead. Admittedly, all but one of the monsters in the game are undead (Hellhounds are Outsiders), but even so.

For the deadite twin entry, you might want to mention that the diminutive versions have different stats. Being Diminutive sized causes some stat changes, after all.

Also, the Deadite Curse might (and this is just my opinion), be a bit powerful, since it means that every single time a PC is ever injured by a deadite, they have to make what is basically a "save or die" roll, since they'll become a deadite zombie with no way of stopping or reversing the transformation.

Evil Dead 1.6 is up! Includes Alzrius' fixes and a section on time travel and technology levels (along with how Ash affected inventions in the timeline).

I suspect my redirect went over its bandwidth or something, because it's not working right now. So you have to go here instead:

Masterful, as always Talien. Just a few fixes this time around. ;)

I know I'm really nit-picking on this one...but the Chainsaw Impale feat still doesn't look right. It now affects a "humanoid". The problem is that Humanoid is a monster type already, so that notation becomes incredibly confusing! Likewise, even without that, this seems mildly unfair...who wouldn't want to Chainsaw Impale those Deadite Pigs?

My recommendation is that this allows you to affect one "creature".

The Deadite Twin entry mentions that the Diminutive-sized ones gain a bonus to "AC". Being a d20 Modern game, this should be "Defense". Likewise, you might want to mention that their Speed should become 20 feet (that seems about right) if it wasn't already.

Nice job on what you did with the Deadite Curse!

and a section on time travel and technology levels (along with how Ash affected inventions in the timeline).

On the tech levels, some of the listings seem to be off:

Tech level 0 apparently extends to 1400 AD...meaning that they only had crude huts and shelters then...but wasn't Kastle Kandar already built by then? Likewise, the wise men could read the Necronomicon to make the drops to send Ash home. This area should be tech level one...making the tech level 0/1 dividing line a couple hundred years earlier is probably a good idea.

Tech level five says, "This is a good year for deadite slayers: the shotgun is invented in 1903 and the chainsaw is invented in 1936." The irony here is that, obviously, 1903 and 1936 are not the same year. This should probably say "this is a good era for deadite slayers" or something like that.

Best of luck on winning that ENnie! I voted for you! :)

Heh, the Chainsaw Impale feat is meant to reproduce what Ash does in the two games -- turn the chainsaw to "on" and shove it into his foe's ribcage while he churns up blood and guts. But it occurs to me it impales other things -- non-humanoid deadites, pigs, etc. So I changed it again.

Yup. Fixed. I made it -10 feet vs. a flat 20 feet.

Good catch! I hadn't thought of this. Fixed.

D'oh. Yeah, that's what I meant. Fixed.

New version uploaded. There's a new look to the web site coming soon (probably too late for voting, but soon!).

Got your Evil Dead & your Terminator----now waiting for the aliens & predator D20:D
Only a year later but I figured I'd point it out. Aliens: Game Over is up!

Authors: Michael Tresca, Scott Middlebrook, Dan McAllister
Type: Role-Playing Game (D20 Modern Supplement)
Suggested Retail Price: FREE
Format: .pdf
Pages: 126
Description:

Aliens: Game Over is a role-playing game set in the far future of exploration, where United Systems Military Marines venture forth to meet extremely hostile alien life forms...and kill them.

The future of Aliens: Game Over is bleak: megacorporations and mercenary companies run rampant. And yet there is an old world nobility about the Marines Corps, who still uphold the virtues of honor and loyalty. Perhaps most importantly, the Marine Corps has balls of titanium and is fearless in the face of any foe, human or otherwise.

Aliens: Game Over is a massive supplement for D20 Modern that contains 2 new races, 14 new occupations (including 8 corporations and 5 marine divisions), six new feats, new psionic powers, more equipment than you can shake an Armat M41A 10mm pulse-action air-cooled automatic assault rifle at (including the dreaded ATAX and HARDCore power armors), 14 new advanced classes, dozens of new worlds to explore, a mission generation system, and 28 new monsters. Did we mention lots of rules about Aliens?
