d20 Modern for high fantasy

I, personally, didn't use Classically Modern, because it didn't go the direction I was looking for. It's worth looking at I guess, but I tend to stick a lot closer to standard d20 Modern than that author seemed to.

Well, it would help to list down what d20 Modern elements you considered "sacred cows" and perhaps we can build around them, Maethras.

Heh. Already started on that. We've been testing games using a few different ideas off and on. Mostly, we don't have sacred cows, so to speak, but wanted to be able to have d20 Modern and our Medieval interpretation of it be as seamlessly cross-compatible as possible. Why? Hell, I dunno. I just feel better when it is.

EDIT: On a tangent, if I were to post advanced and/or prestige classes for d20 Modern, but for a fantasy campaign, would that be on this board or House Rules? Thanks.

I'd definitely say this forum.

I'm going with a hybrid system using D&D classes with D20 Modern rules like action points, defence progression, reputation bonuses, and purchase DCs.

Heh. We've actually been working on something similar (off and on), though ours's probably gonna have the D&D level of magic toned way, way down. Haven't decided about the action points or purchase DCs yet (In fact, we probably *won't* use Wealth for it at first)

Right now, though, we're just using modified d20 Modern (with Wealth and everything else).
