d20 modern moderation

no that i'm really complaining, i'm just wondering if it might be feasable to appoint another mod to d20 modern. there's a 3 page flame war going on about WotC being against 'white males' that has gone on just a bit too long and I humbly believe would not suit Eric's Grandma very well.

Posting in Meta is not the best way to report threads. Please use the 'report this post to a moderator' button instead.

The forums that need the most moderation usually get it (General, I'm looking at you!). I know I rarely pop my head into the more "on topic" forums because there are rarely problems there. However, when you spot a problem, feel free to report it so we can take a look.

I took a look at the thread in question; things seem to be going ok at the moment. Sometimes stuff like this, especially when it is on-topic for the forum in question, needs to work itself out. We'll peek in on it frequently.

Like I said, I wasn't really here to report 'the thread' as much as the forum. I guess the thread's working itself out, I'm trying to ignore it. I was just wondering if maybe we should have had someone peek in on it before it got that bad in the first place.

but you can't do anything about it until it gets bad right? and thats what the buttons for. to tell the mods if they think it might be getting bad. So what's the problem?

the problem is that it was bad for 2 pages or so, and i was just wondering why none of the mods happened to pop in there ant notice it before i did.

like i said, it's not the thread I was mentioning, just wondering if the mods check that forum on a regular schedule because it is so small and doesn't get quite the conversation load that others do.

The answer is no -- there's no "regular schedule." We completely rely on folks to alert us (as you did) when things are going wacky in some of the less-used forums. And thanks to your alert I did end up closing it after all. :)
