D20 Modern & Spycraft

I am going to be starting a campaign of D20 Modern quite soon, but it is going to be set in the 1960s. I am wondering how well the Spycraft book Decade Book: The 1960s can stand on its own, and be freely integrated without having to own the core Spycraft book. Please, I need all the help I can get.

Is your game going to be related to espionage in the era? Most of the book is related to espionage, naturally, and focuses a lot on major events relating to the interplay between the superpowers.

No the game is not going to be espionage related. I am just looking to get some background info on the era and find some PrCs and feats that might fit with it as well.

Most of the material in the decade book is related to spy organisations around the world at that time of cold war espionage. There may be some equipment you can utilise but again a lot of this would be gadgets. I have the book, but not on me right now. Maybe you would be better off just watching some films from the era which are related to your setting?
