Asmor First Post Feb 14, 2009 #14 I chose d12, because I feel it is a sad and underrepresented die. I have a personal vendetta against the d10. The bastard die from hell steals the d12's thunder, and it's not even a platonic solid! Seriously, wtf?

The Shaman First Post Feb 14, 2009 #15 d10 - my favorite "d20" is a d10 + d6 (1-3, result as is; 4-6, +10).
K Korgoth First Post Feb 14, 2009 #16 Obviously the D20: it can roll 1-20, 1-10, 1-5 and 1-2 with ease. If you've got a quick enough wit, it can even roll 1-4. Combine it with another D20 and it can also roll 1-8, 1-40, 1-80 or 1-100. And that's only if you always use every face. If you are willing to go with "roll again" faces, it can roll a 1-6 (and thus 1-12 with another D20). It's basically the perfect die. And it's a platonic solid. And if it's made by Lou Zocchi... ah, the glory!

P ProfessorPain First Post Feb 14, 2009 #17 I think the d20 places too much randomness into the game. I prefer games to be based on d6s and d10s.

Oni First Post Feb 14, 2009 #18 I have to wonder if the d12 is doing so well so far from pity votes. Anyway, vote d6. It's hip to be square (well a cube anyway).

Click to expand... Yep, the d10 is the only D&D die that is not a Platonic Solid. Although it is still a regular/fair die, it still bothers me at an aesthetic level.
