d20 Publishers Who Have NOT Given Up Yet...

Warden

First Post
When it seems that quite a few projects and publishers as a whole are setting aside their d20's, maybe it's a good idea for a role call to show which of us are still working on d20 material and don't plan on giving up just yet.

It might be obvious considering, but Emerald Press is still going. We have our sequel to the Combat Options series for the d20 combat system, Attack, and work is still being completed on various other projects, such as Campaign Options: Modern Treasure Hunter, Campaign Options: Alignment, and our Living Nights Campaign Setting.

Behemoth3 definitely hasn't given up yet; heck, we've just gotten started! Technically, of course, we're an Open Game License publisher; each of our Masters and Minions books have rules for creating monstrous characters, which prevents us from using the d20STL. But, technicalities aside, we're huge fans of the original RPG and proud to be part of its continuing growth and evolution at the 30th anniversary! It's sad that we've lost some great predecessors recently. Extinction is unfortunately a necessary part of evolution, but I think Behemoth3 is part of the new wave of mammals ready to adapt to the opportunities in the new climate :)

We at Alea Publishing Group are still slaving away.

In fact, we just released Poor Gamers Alamanc (free e-zine where I did a nice Pirate PrC) and have Whisper of Horses (paid d20M module) slated for December.

Warden, contact me off boards, I want to talk to you some about the e-zine we have going. cguill at aleapublishing dot com

I don't work for the company, but I know that Privateer Press is still going strong with the recent publication of their Iron Kingdom's Campaign Guide. Their next release will be the Iron Kingdom's World Guide, probably in the next few months. They have a very slow release schedule, but excellent quality material.

I understand that the reason they can keep publishing RPG material is mostly due to the success of their Warmachine miniatures game line.

We're just getting started! Visual Skeleton Studios doesn't have anything out yet, but we have a few books that are getting ready for release:

Twilight World: A M&M Superlink campaign setting dealing with a world that is war-torn and reeling from apocalypse.

Heroes and Villains: A M&M Superlink product featuring pre-made heroes and villains. These are designed from characters designed from years of Super-hero gaming in various house campaigns, but are written with Twilight World in mind.

Darkness Rising: A D20 Modern campaign setting dealing with a dark, and forboding X-Files feel.

Cadaver Devoro: A D20 Modern zombie campaign.

Adios,
Kane
