d20M 2e: Wish lists

I would LOVE to see a nonVancian system of magic for D20 Modern myself, but WOTC isn't going to provide it as they want D20M to tie in with D&D to create that crossover audience.
Jason

Well, there's incantations from Urban Arcana.

They'd be a fine addition to the core book...but what to cut?

Plus I'd make sure that there were multiple equipment lists from many different era ... A swashbuckler/pirate list, a colonial empire/civil war list, a pulp list, a WW2 list, a cold war spy/vietnam list and a contemporary list.
Yes! Thank you!

3. Better handling of guns.

I hate it when my guns have bad handles. You want something that's not going to come loose or break when you try to beat someone cross-eyed with it.

In all seriousness though;
1: Sounds pretty decent.
2: Yup, and release a non-fx adventure on the site fer cryin' out loud! I'm sick of FX!!!
4: Ok, why not.
5: More is good.
6: Like a modern rpg needs a setting anyway. You're soaking in it.
7: Couldn't hurt I guess, but I wouldn't miss it.
8: More equipment is always good.
9: That goes without saying.
10: No opinion. I know almost nothing about D*M.

Edit: Not that I want to have to purchase another friggin' copy of the D20M core rulebook a few months down the road. And yes, weapons from different eras would be great. Civil War, WWII and swashbuckling stuff in particular.

They finally did. Adelie 14, A Funny Thing Happened at Carousel Five and Canyon Road. There's going to be two more non-FX adventures (18th and 19th level).

But are you soaking in gang warfare, the military, or political intrigue? I didn't think so.

I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting putting out another D20 Modern right this minute.

I'd prefer to see nothing but contemporary and maybe Q-department equipment in the core book, and save the "gear through the ages" for a big honking equipment book (obviating the need for d20 Weapons Locker).

Some people get touchy about the liberal use of assumption by others; especially when it's a total stranger making assumptions about their life. Just so you know. Also, leaving off the, "I didn't think so.", would make your question seem a bit less confrontational, and a bit more like a genuine query.

With that out of the way, I still say that when you get right down to it, you do not need a default setting for a modern RPG; especially if the alternative to one is having more room in the book for equipment, rules, etc. We live in the modern world, and campaign material is all around us, and on the tv-screen/printed page/movie screen every day. Sample agencies and organizations with their own agendas, that's cool, but a setting most people won't use if they aren't using FX (IOW playing D20M not D&D Modern) just wastes space. UA got its own book anyway so no loss there.
If including a setting were a must, I'd have preferred something without the Displacer Beasts, Ogres and spells.

I hope not. I don't want to buy another book I already own. Unless I can get it for $2.79 like I did for the 3.5 core books. Umm, which would make D20M $0.93 or $1.86 depending on whether or not you consider it to be a PHB and DMG in one. ;)
For 2.79 I'd be happy to buy another D20M core book.

That would be cool too. I was going to get Weapons Locker and then decided against it since the general concensus seemed to be that it was (how do I put it tactfully?), unworthy.
