It always appears to me that my Pipped dice roll, on average, just a wee bit higher.
Is there any truth to the notion that the "One-Pip" side of a pipped d6 is a heavier, and therefore ends up on the bottom more often? That of course means that the "Six-Pip" side is on top more often.

ETA: I'll go with pips, actually. I have less trouble with them. There's some pretty bad dyscalculia going on with me. :\
I'm going for numbers, because of aesthetic reasons and because... I'm reading off pips slower/worse than numbers. :\

Numbers just read off better than counting pips for me.

Cheers, LT.

I gotcha. For me, numbers are difficult to conceptualize for me. I have to look at them as sort of pictograms. For example, a four has four points and a five as having five points. 6, 8 and 9 are trouble.

Higher function mathematics, trig, calc... I don't have trouble with them. But arithmetic... I still use fingers and dots. :(

So, if I see the pips, I can see the number. Four pips = "Oh, four." The number "4" actually gives me a bit of a brain lag and I don't know why.

If they were smart, they'd use a dense paint / resin / whatever which would compensate for the lost mass of the pip. Dunno if they do this, but it would be reasonable.
