Daggerheart Class Packs kickstarter is live.

The thing i find interesting about this is that very few people are buying a single pack vs. The entire set... which economically doesn't make sense unless you assume there wont be a corebook reprint and release before April '26... which seems unlikely (and with a missed holiday season a bad business decision).I guess collectors could account for some of the full set sales... but they are the same cards that are packaged with the book so Im wondering what value a collector would see in it.

Im just wondering if the numbers are showing people want to buy individual class packs and they are a viable product...or that they want to be able to purchase a full extra set of cards for their games and dont want to wait until whenever corebook stock is available?

Edit: On a side note I'd have grabbed a pack of multiple ancesteries and backgrounds since, even with 2 core sets I ended up printing off multiple copies of some for players.

We could also just ask why this validation chase matters in the first place. Do people at your table really stop to check Kickstarter numbers before committing to a campaign?
this is simple curiosity, how well is a given game doing, in this case Daggerheart.

It has nothing to do with what games I want to play, otherwise Shadow of the Weird Wizard and Tales of the Valiant would not rank so high (and Talisman Adventures would not even make the list) ;)

Apart from that curiosity it was just some pushback on the notion that these numbers are completely meaningless when it comes to DH’s popularity

Gifts are my reason. I did order the full set, but I am giving 7 of those sets as gifts. The discount on the 9 pack bundle = 7 separate packs. So, basically I am getting 2 free.

Cool... I hadn't considered that... though Im curious is this for a current game or future game? I feel like not getting the cards until April '26 puts limitations on doing something like gifting cards.

Both now and later.
My tables made up of people (mostly) playing for 35 years together. They will get a holiday card telling them they have a deck coming when it gets here. Right now I have 2 sets of cards from collector and normal box set. When needed I whip out the cardstock and turn on the color laser and print.
Obviously in the future you'll get an X is not a workable thing for everyone, but works good for us.

Ok but how do you determine what class pack to get a player?
