I am very intrigued about these two games and had some questions:
Dangerous Journeys
1) Did anyone play this?
2) Are there die-hard DJ fans out there like there are die-hard 1E AD&D fans still playing the 1st Edition?
3) Why did GDW die?
Lenjendary Adventure
4) Does anyone play this game? Is it good? Is it Gary's "AD&D 3rd Edition"?
I never played DJ but I bought the 1st publication, Mythus, when it came out. I was very enthusiastic during the lead-up to its release, but when I finally bought it I found it a little difficult to *consume* all the rules -- I only got half way through the book. I know there was a primer at the beginning but it kind of seemed like it was added to the book at the last minute.
As to LA, I've never played it but would love to hear other people's experiences. It seems this book tries to be the opposite of DJ in terms of complexity of rules. From what I've heard, LA has a fairly basic set of rules in order to attract new gamers.
Thanks.
