Not exactly walk free. I think Fisk is going to end up on the run or disappear and Daniel is going to take the fall because they will need someone to put their hands on to take the blame.

So the latest Easter Egg rumour is that this image from the last Daredevil episode shows The Watcher,

with Brad Winderbaum posting "always watching" in his own social media.

Anyway if that really is the Watcher it could indicate that death of Vanessa is going to be a truely signficant event in the MCU, with implications for the wider multiverse too

Is BB on the hit list now that Daniel has been in the hot seat and been made complicit with Buck's activities?

That should prove an interesting next interaction.

As to Vanessa, yes they played that well. Bait and switch perhaps, but I think believable. It remains to be seen exactly what Fisk will do, but I think the Daredevil/Bullseye conversations pegged it correctly. Fisk will go to war and leave no stone unturned to find the two of them.
