The similarities to 3E are fairly tenuous. There is a degree of customization allowed, but don't expect to be making 3E characters, because you can't. There's four characters to play, period. The abilities are given ranks and learned from a list for each character.trancejeremy said:It's pretty fun, though as mentioned, it's an action game, though with RPG stats (mostly 3e). More action orientated than Diablo, more RPG-ish than Gauntlet.
It's short-ish, but has a fair amount of replayability. There's a higher level difficulty setting, and you can unlock everyone's least favorite Drow Ranger to play as.
And I really don't understand how anything can be more action-oriented than Diablo (and Diablo II). Diablo was simply point/click over and over again. It had virtually no story. It's the very definition of a mindless action game.
