So has anyone checked out the first graphic novel in the Berserk series? I was very pleased by it and look forward to the next installment next month. I think they're doing what, the first five graphic novels?

I personally hope that they do well and we see all 20+ of 'em over here.

I've been waiting on it to come out but I just haven't had a chance to pick it up yet. I've been grinding teeth ever since I saw the last episode of the anime to get the rest of the story, shame the anime stopped in the middle of the overall stor it looks to be very interesting.

The Manga came first.

The first manga follows the Black Swordsman storyline in a little more detail but instead of a woman, Guts is saving an elf, which is more like a faire, called Puck(sp?). It also shows how the brand attacts demons, and gets Guts involved with another apostle before ending.

I'm heading out for comics tonight so I'll keep an eye out for it. What's it retailing for? $9.95?

I lucked into the full six volume Berserk DVD set a couple of weeks back--being the the anime specialist at a major video wholesaler really has its perks sometimes!--and watched the entire run in one weekend. Discs 5 and 6 had me exclaiming "No freakin' way!" out loud several times--in a good way! Great show!
