Dastana (Shield) Question

Dastana: (Arms and Equipment Guide pg.15) This pair of metal bracers can be worn in addition to some other types of armor to provide in addition armor bonus that stacks with both the foundation armor and any shield worn. You can wear Dastana with padded, Leather, or chain shirt armor. You need the armor proficiency (light) feat to wear dastana without penalty.

25gp - +1 armor bonus , Max Dex Bonus -- , Armor check penalty -1 , Arcane failure of 5% , 5 lbs

My Question is can you wear other Leather Armor such as Leather Scale , Studded Leather , Leather Gorgon and Other Leather armors to Wear Dastana?

Leather scale? What is Leather Scale/Where is it from? Ditto for Leather Gorgon.
Other leather armors ... I don't there are that many varieties of leather armor.

At any rate, if someone in my game asked me this question, I'd base my answer off of the armor bonus that their particular armor provided, and how the armor was described. Also depends on type of armor - if it's not light armor, there's no way you get dastana to stack.
Flat-out no goes to any variety of armor calling itself 'leather' that isn't light armor.

Leather Scale is in The Arms and Equipment guide , and Leather Gorgon is in The Ultimate Equipment Guide. Studded Leather is in The Players Handbook.

But It would make sense with the Dastana to stack with The light armor. But My guess it depends on which Light armor you using.

Honestly: I never allow any of those things. Light armors are good enough, you don't need something that makes them even better.

Well, there were many things which were completely broken and thus did not carried over to 3.5e. Dastana is one of the most obvious of them. IMHO you would better forget about it.
