As my wife points out above, we both remember just "knowing" what was going to happen once we actually encountered eachother in a situation that allowed us to think about it in those terms.freebfrost said:A definite "yes" vote here. She was right, of course.
But we're dealing with memory here, and I sometimes wonder whether one or both of us manufactured that remembered assurance out of the depth of the love and trust that grew out of that first "real" meeting. I can remember it, plain as day - but does that mean that I *actually* felt that way then (or, more important to your question, if *she* actually felt that way)?
I'm not sure, and I really can't be, because memory is such a tricky thing.
In the final estimation, I'll say this - first impressions are powerful, but hardly insurmountable.
