David Xanatos and Jordan Collier

I've noticed a few similarities between these characters from "Gargoyles" and "The 4400" respectively.

Both are short-bearded tycoons in (eventually reformed) villain roles. They've both experienced some sort of time travel. Their names even have the same pattern of syllables.

This probably doesn't mean anything, but I thought it was an interesting observation.

Also interesting is that Jonathan Frakes was the voice of Xanatos while Billy Campbell plays Collier. Frakes is best known as Commander/Capt. William T. Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation while Campbell was Capt. Thadiun Okona in "The Outrageous Okona" episode of that series.

I SO love a Gargoyles' conversation but, alas, I have yet to be able to see the 4400 so I can't comment.

Did Collier time travel? Was he one of the 4400? I got the impression that he wasn't, but I don't remember the first season very well.

He's actually one of the returnees best known to the general public.

Based on Collier's brief appearance at the end of Season 2, it would seem that he manged to cheat death, something which Xanatos has wanted to do.

Yes. And note Jordan Collier's initials - JC. Anyone else famous we know with those initials that doesn't stay dead?

I gotta say, it is a true test of geekdom to be able to see and discuss the similarities here.
