DC/VA/MD ENW Gameday [Cleveland Park, October 27 @ 9:30]

I wasn't really thinking of it in terms of being anything associated with WotC. I was mainly just looking for ideas for venues that would be gamer friendly. I wouldn't think just using the site would mean we would have to connect the event with WotC.

The Woodbridge Game Parlor is on the list of Organized Play retailers, which is part of what gave me the idea.

I know QueenD is working on getting space at the DC convention center, but they haven't yet called her back (she's called them 2-3 times).

In any case, know that she's working on it!

The problem is space. The attendance at a gameday in the DC area will be significant - much more than a private home can handle (I'm estimating between 35 and 50 - maybe more).

I've been in contact with the DC Convention center in attempts to get a small-ish room there (which would hold up to 60 people... 6 round tables each seating 10). It's expensive, but the best that I've been able to find (while maintaining metro accessbility)... except for the cost. But that's an issue for later.

However - rest assured that I AM working on it (a little slower than I would like... but it's finals time).

You forgot to update us!
Indeed - I wanted to update, but have been having trouble getting ahold of people that can give me actual information. I'm getting a lot of "we'll have to call you back about that..." and then never getting a call back... and so I call again a week later and get the same routine. :(

I think Queen D is buried under several tons of RPG books.

I thought about this the other day. As I recall a venue was still up in the air. I will check with my apartment complex and see if the community room would be available. The parking isn't the best around here (though there is some), but it's extremely Metro convenient, there's several places to eat nearby, and I don't think it would cost anything to use.
