DDI: Does it support the non-transgendered adventurer?

The Rouse posted a few screenshots in his blog. I have to admit they look a little better.

They do look better, and one thing is made clear from the blog; these figures are intended to make 3D minis for use on the VTT rather than to print out for your 2D character portrait. Although there was a 2D portrait on one of the screenshots from Boing Boing; but she's a man, baby!

I think some of the negative reactions to the screenshots have been seen by WotC, as they are stressing that this is a pre-alpha release of the software. I suppose that is intended to reassure us that the final product will be better. My reaction to that is to wonder how they can possibly clean that up and finish it by June if they are in "pre-alpha" right now. Guys, that's just a few months away. You should have a solid alpha by now, and be working on the fine-tuning for beta. But hey, we've all seen that publishing on the internet means there are no deadlines. ;)

I'll just sit here with my Mac, and cease worrying about D&DI.

Ok, that's more like it.

Seems they forgot the golden rule: never let Alpha graphics out.

The Dragonborn's not bad, still think the 'angel' is a bit too chunky.

Actually, thinking back on the dragonborn thread it was pretty well established that everything was better with boobs. What we have here is WotC listening to their audience and putting boobs on everything.
Yeah, when I heard that they have to change the cover of the PHB I really hoped for something like this
