DDI Updates in December

To all, noted and sorry. I'll formulate a fair assessment. I'll admit to being slightly drunk and very pissed off. WotC has taken at least 90 dollars from me without a fair exchange this year, so I'm a little bitter. More research is necessary. Also less vodka.

Not sure how you get $90, but fair enough. Props for choosing vodka though. Thats also my preferred method of getting drunk.

90$ is a fesh one year subscription.

I can understand his reaction and here is my murmur:

I am now doing campaign preperation by hand, with my freshly bought essentials books, instead of conveniently using character generator and monster generator, because both are bugged and very sloggy.

It is not that I would say, the new online CB will not be very shiny soon, but right now i am also a little bit annoyed. Again, not in general, but just right now, because I was expecting to get essentials things up and working when my campaign begins (which I convert from ADnD)

Just sayin'. And not saying it shouldn't be beaten, but....

Beating it until it dies to death. I'm not sure how I swerved so far off course of the original subject. I mostly wanted to point out that we shouldn't stop demanding satisfaction just because WotC is hiking their skirt a little. I will not rest (or cease pesturing people on their forums) until I see at LEAST full-on ankle.

Quit beating it and I'll betcha the DDI offerings keep dwindling and evaporating into thin air.

Frankly, I think the outrage is the only thing that prevented them from pulling exactly the same thing with a broken, beta-ready but release-unready Monster Builder. And frankly, if they aren't going to fix the offline MB, I really hope the online one is worth using quick.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. And I've been beating this horse myself - it wasn't a criticism of you or anyone of us. Moreso, it what was me commenting that everything has been said about this, multiple times. Which is what forums are for, I know. In fact, I'm not even saying we should stop talking about this, just that....

I think you're right.

The complete and utter lack of leadership from senior folks at WotC about the anger in their customer/fan base means that they aren't engaged, or have been told to simply suck it up by the non-D&D folks who would be the ones really calling the shots, so it's probably up to the more articulate and angry horse-beaters and spleen-venters to maintain the rage else we will end up with even less than we have now.

Just wait until Dungeon and Dragon are compressed into a single magazine called Ampersand with a single encounter from an upcoming product, a few powers from another upcoming product and Bill's interminable column telling us how important he is representing the sum total of DDi content each month.

Pardon me, I think my hyberbole is showing....
