DDM: Underdark preview 2

I love the Ankheg and the Roper.
The Spider swarm is cool. Can't wait to use that one.
The Xorn is really neat - nice to see it.

Ankheg! *happy dance* Ankheg! *happy dance* Ankheg! *happy dance*

Funny thing is, I don't think I've every encountered one outside of the Baldur's Gate computer games, but somehow it's just worked its way into my subconcious as an iconic D&D critter.

Me too. And somehow, they're always eating cabbages. Damn that MM illustration.

Underdark is shaping up to be another great set. I'm looking forward to next week's preview, to catch a glimpse of Epic figs and maybe get a little more information.

Same here I'm curious how "epic" these other figs will be compared to Elminster. If you check Merric's page and the info on Elminster you can see why I was like "OMGH!!!!"

Don't know about anyone else, but from an RPG point of view, I'm every bit as curious to know what's going to be common as what's going to be rare. I assume the creepers will be common, as will the kobolds, and there always seems to be a token human.

So, anyone want to start a pool on how many dwarves will be in Underdark?

I'd prefer to see what age catagory the Deep Dragon is. I was hoping it would be Shadow but then again I'm sure we'll see Shadow Dragon in another upcoming set.

...and the Ankheg is Uncommon! How on earth did they do that?
Exactly! I was very happy to see them continue the 8 large uncommons (large figure in every booster) style they started with AngelFire. But the sculpt on the Ankheg is beautiful for a large uncommon. I can't wait.
