D&D 5E DDN Concept Art

Not read through the thread yet but... the halflings and the female dwarf make me wanna scream and the male dwarf concepts are so-so. I also dislike the gnome concept a good deal and if the rider of that worg is supposed to be a goblin then I wanna scream again. From the rest, I like some and am indifferent to others.

The art style just isn't Dungeons & Dragons. They need to go back to the drawingboard for a lot of it including, but not limited to, the dwarves, elves, gnome, and halflings.

Great, now I can't unsee it.

The halflings do look like descendants of Lord Farquaad.

Necro'ing this thread because I was reminded of it in the other threads about freelancers having their work not appear in the final project. Reference the first post in this thread for a link to much of the NEXT concept art we all saw back then.

In that context, I thought it would be interesting to go back and look at the original concept art and see all the stuff that never made the cut. And note how even some really good stuff doesn't always make it into print.
