This is a great series that Showtime cancelled a few years back. Very funny and quirky in the best traditions of shows like "Twin Peaks" and "Northern Exposure". The SciFi Channel has started showing this tuesdays 7-9pm. I highly recomend it. When Showtime cancelled it, I cancelled showtime.

The main character does whine a lot for the first 3-4 episodes, but we're almost past that.

Yeah, it was a excellent show that got cut too fast. Showtime really dropped the ball here. This is the second series that Showtime did this with that I really liked. The first one.....Stargate SG-1. Tells you what the hell they know about good TV.

Slacker 20something Georga Lass, is killed by a flaming Toilet seat from the Mir Spacestation. She dies and finds out that "Death is only the Begining". She's now a grim reaper, charged with collecting the souls of those about to die. Who do so in various funny and ironic and sometimes touching ways.

Her boss Reaper is Rube (Mandy Patinkin), whom she causes endless headaches for as he hands out their assignments each day on post it notes. They operate out of "Der Waffle House"

Yes the two seasons made have been released and only about $30 a pop. Quite reasonably priced.

Actually Georgia is only 18, but enough nit picking.

I was a preview of this and immediately Tivoed it.
I like this show a lot. Especially since I get to watch two episodes a week. Can't wait to see what averarching plot they are going to implement.

Another excellent series from Showtime that was a victim of a management change (Can't keep any shows the predecessor championed no matter how good/sucessful) is Oddessy 5.

It was the brain child of Manny Coto who gave "Enterprise" it's only good season.
