Death banned in French town

Slightly tangential plot hook -- somehow get the players to use a wish granted by a genie to never die. As a result they are sucked into repeating the same day over and over again ala Groundhog's Day until they can break the curse.

(this is an isolated hamlet, with dangerous moors or swamps nearby)

How would that work? To quote Medieval Demographics Made Easy, "It is important to remember that agrarian communities on the scale of the village or hamlet are not self-supporting in any real sense; they exist in vast networks."

I wonder why that comes up so late at BBC. I read that story in our local newspaper more than half a year ago.
The reason why they cannot expand the cemetery is laws about protection of the costal areas' nature.

Having read this reminded me immediately of the Terry Pratchet book where Death is being retired - don't know the English title...

I can't speak for your setting, but on the level of agricultural organization, most settings ARE pretty close.

Just because a hamlet is isolated and near dangerous terrain doesn't mean that it can't be close to a trade route.

As long as it's relatively close to another agrarian community... but then it wouldn't really be isolated.
