Death Urge + Deja Vu' (is this right?)

It is an interesting combo. I would just repeat Death Urge unless I was short of PP's because the DC's are better. Phantasmal Killer is a better power but the advantage here that you get at least 1 attack as critical hit which will probably do more than the average damage of 3d6 if the target.I'd at least take Death Urge, but I have to think carefully about Deja Vu. DC would be at least 16 for DU and only DC 16 for DV. If I'm going to use the same amount of PP's, I'm going to use the higher power because the immunities are easier against lower level powers.

At 11th level, the DC is at least 18 and with DU works for two rounds. I applaud the thinking but upon reflection, DV falls short as a combo with this power.

Can you cast Death Urge then, if successful, cast Deja Vu' the next round to basically "mimic" what Death Urge does? To me, it looks like you can...

Death Urge/Full Attacks

The target attacks itself as a full-round action. Doesn't say that it takes the full-attack action anywhere.

But I think that it is necessarily implied by the spell text that, if taking a full-round attack, the affected character MUST make a full-round attack including the most damaging effects he could make.

"On the subject’s next turn, it looks for the quickest method to end its life and attempts to do so"

The quickest method, technically, is the one that does the most damage. If you have the option of doing a full-round attack including all your attacks/weapons, it MUST be done, because that IS the fastest method to end its life (if you do more damage that way rather than a spell or something else). Perhaps this is dependent on intelligence scores for the creature to 'realize' that the technically best option is to use the complete full round attack...but I think its rather obvious.

Thus a Chaos Monk ought to Flailing Blow, given that it is the BEST way of killing himself, and using that full-round action. If there were a firepit or a dragon near, the BEST way of killing himself is being careless.

After consulting my DM, we decided that a full-attack would be the technical 'best' way to kill oneself given damaging abilities...however it is rather hard for a flailing monk or something with six iterative attacks to hit ITSELF 6 times in a 6 second round.

So we decided it hit/crits with at least 2 weapons if it is dual wielding or has a weapon/claw natural. It's real hard to damage oneself with their own tail; a bite attack MIGHT generate some good damage on oneself if they have a rather bestial bite. Wings, again, hard to hit oneself with.
