December Playtests: Druid, Invoker, AV2, and Mercykillers! (merged)

Bedause 4e hasn't ever reused a planescape name for a totally different thing.

Because "Mercykiller" is a phrase that has no resonance outside of planescape.

Sigil was on 3.5 Manual of Planes, and there was no official "Planescape".
Sigil is on 4E DMG, and "Planescape" is dead.
Sigil dwellers such as Doomguard, Athar, Xaositecs etc was on 3.5 Planar Handbook, and Planescape was dead.

Your point here is...?

Wow!

No, not world of warcraft... Wow as in a statement of amazement...

There are a TON of playtest classes in the upcoming dragon!

Druid
Invoker
Mercykiller
Adventurer's Vault 2

Pretty cool..

I'm still trying to figure out if Sigil's Mercykillers are back or if Faction War will be ignored for MotP 4E, which I find very very interesting.

I'm guessing if they do anything they'll use the basic "concept" but it won't be the same.

It's been so long since I've done anything Planescape... I don't remember exactly what the Mercykillers were...

Lawful evil jailers, IIRC, with cool red armour.

Cheers

I doubt there will be any continuity at all between 4e Sigil and pre-4e Sigil. To do that, they'd have to explain what happened to the Great Wheel.
