Slight hijack

The best thing about doing this project is that it got me going again after a really, really long slump in which I couldn't seem to find anything that I wanted to draw.

Now I seem to be having trouble stopping.

I thought I'd try out some of the new ideas I got from looking at other folks' decks, only, I ran into some technical issues getting my scanner to upload what I worked on.

So instead I started fooling around with other ideas that didn't need uploading.

Anyway, one thing led to another, and it's still leading me strange places.

If you're amused by this sort of thing, check the link below.

It's not really turning out to be a Deck of Many Things.

More like a Deck of Assorted Other Things.

Anyone who feels like writing up stats for this deck, feel free to post or discuss in the thread below.

(More cards to come as time and equipment allow.)

Let me know when you're ready to start doing avatars again :D

If you want to throw some pictures my way for this iteration of Ceramic DM, that'd be very cool, too.

While I admire the quality of the art work, I don't see these designs as something parallel to the design of a medieval illustration art, which is what I imagine when I think of a deck of many things.

I had the contest open for weeks and we did get some interesting interpretations. But it was of course up the artists to create their own vision of the Deck.

I liked Todd's the best, followed by Sialia's (those newer ones are really cool). :)

hafrogman's is almost a close third. :p
The idea in there isn't all bad, though, actually. :D

Bye
