D&D 3E/3.5 Deepwood Sniper PrC - How Easy To Use In a 3.5E Game?

Judging from the fact that PC used the word "Keen" I would guess that he was refering to the "Keen Arrows" ability the DWS gains at... 1st level IIRC, and not the improved crit multiple. Since he didn't mention the improved crit multiple.

Though you are correct though, completely unrelated modifiers on total separate abilities don't stack. :p
Well, I can see the confusion due to the name of a feat in PHB. But PIC (feature) and IC (feat) have totally different benefits.

The keen edge on the class table is an error. Just delete it.

Concealment reduction is okay. The 30% can be used against total concealment (50% miss chance), assuming the DWS can pick the square the target is in.

The magic weapon is ... I dunno ... just once per day. Thinking of increasing the use per day, even thinking of adding greater magic weapon at higher level (DWS level 8).

And true strike is okay, although it may confuse newbie players when they found that the spell is a Sor/Wiz, not cleric. Minor issue, not that the caster level is relevant (see spell description).

The spell Hunter's Mercy and a x5 critical will be nasty, but then again if you can not be sick at high levels....when can you be.
To bad rangers only get 4th level spells. add metta magic quicken to hunters mercy and use it as a free action. I know it would have to be much later in the game but would be intresting. are there any ranger Variants that give more magic? if so this would be a nice idea for the realy high levels.

Of course some of that has changed since the addition of all the new no SR damage causing conjuration spells and energy substitution type feats.

This... is a very good point. I'd forgotten about that change.

Deepwood Sniper has "Keen Arrows", which is also part of the descriptive text.

Actually, they don't stack to begin with. The DWS's Projectile Improved Critical feature only improves the critical damage multiplier, not the threat range like the keen weapon ability.
Actually, he was talking about the keen arrows ability, not the damage multiplier.

What about it? That ability allows DWS to use normal arrows as if they have the keen magical properties. It only doubles the arrows' threat range. Nothing to do with the critical damage multiplier.

Exactly. And that doesn't stack with Improved Critical. Which was the point you misunderstood when Piratecat said:
In case no one has already said it -- DWS are no longer quite as deadly in 3.5, with improved crit and keen no longer stacking. I like the class.
and you replied:

When Piratecat was referring to the Keen Arrows ability stacking with Improved Critical back in 3.0.
