I watched the first five episodes on Hulu after seeing this thread. I like it so far. I do hope it doesn't get canned.

I don't think they're moving the artifact/whatever plot along too fast if the goal isn't series-long suspense but rather some form of reveal and then suspense about what that means, a la The Others and Lost. Or a pseudo/semi-revaeal, a la the smoke monster in Lost.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, we have to wait another episode to see what the characters see.

Hearing the whale-like songs make me think of Startrek IV.

ABC or locally? The airing of the Fear episode was replaced by a telethon on both ABC affiliates I get, but Hulu had it.

Looks like ABC. Next week is a movie and the week after is their new show Sisters and Brothers.

Oof, don't know about credibility, but this news site indicates it's likely that we've seen the last of the show in the US.
