Delta Green D20, its alive!

Based on this latest thread from RPG.net, it sounds like this project is nowhere CLOSE to completion.

I'm sure that, if this ever sees the light of day, the source material will be top notch (like all other DG products.) But they have utterly wasted -- wasted! -- any opportunities to get any value out of including d20 stats.

Ah! Much is explained - I have had to convert from PageMaker to InDesign - it is a bear. And you have to do it one. Page. At. A. Time. I have also had to translate from Quark to InDesign, that is actually the worst part of converting, the program itself is so much better than either PageMaker or Quark.

As for why they have to convert - it is quite possible that the printer no longer accepts PageMaker documents. (Heck, at least one local printing company here was considering abandoning Quark - despite the fact that Quark still has more local users than InDesign! But they want All Adobe, All the Time.)

Thanks for the explanation -- I wondered what the problem was. Of course, if they continue at this pace they're going to have to keep redoing the format as programs, software companies, printing houses, and operating systems all fade, one-by-one, into obsolesence.

Heh, at least it is not a change in mediums, converting PDFs to etched kirii crystals is such a bother!

Converting also seems like a much easier task when you decide to do it than it turns out to be when you do it. We planned on having everything converted in two weeks, it ended up taking over six months, though not all at once - we sandwiched in conversion among other tasks. And we only had about a thousand pages total to convert.

Another possibility is that they needed to make the conversion to match Eos's system, since Eos is actually arranging the print run.

Are you Scott Glancy? :)

He said at GenCon Indy there were problems at the printer in China. But the book should be out soon. I pre-ordered one at GenCon Indy. He had sample copy at GenCon Indy.

As usual, I'll believe it when I see it.

At this point I could have written and had printed my own Delta Yellow book.

I just may have to release my own d20 CoC campaign too: Triángulo Verde, where the PCs take on Castro and Cthulhu in Havana.

Or use the conversion chart on page 290 of the CoC d20 rulebook.
Yes, of course. But I believe he was wondering if he could just use DG d20 with Modern and not have the CoCD20 book, so my conversion ideas were for help with that.
